Betsy Cummings
piano accordion, vocals, & bodhran

Betsy's influences are rooted in Celtic music as well as Appalachian and bluegrass, and extend to the folk, country, rock and blues of her youth. Betsy loves to study and learn the complexities of this rich tradition and is an avid promoter of Celtic music in Texas: she serves on the Southwest Celtic Music Association board, is a participant at the O’Flaherty Irish Music retreat, and is a long-time manager with the North Texas Irish Festival. Betsy was in the fondly remembered Celtic-trad band, Lost Tribe and remains a member in the popular regional Celtic-Americana band, Beyond the Pale.

Marj Troyer
mandolin, electric guitar, tenor banjo, vocals

Marj's musical journey is a culmination of changing climates, cultures and musical genres. Her heart and humor are in Ireland and Scotland but you can also hear her playing reflect influences from rock, folk, country, bluegrass and Western swing. Marj's songwriting includes fan favorites like "Doctor's Orders", "Crow's Nest", "Dame Alice" and "Open Toe Sandal Blues".  Marj was in the Trinity River Whalers for many years, rocking on the mandolin and electric guitar.

Trae Hamilton
Drums, Percussion

Trae is an exceptional drummer and percussionist. She plays tenor drum, a full drum kit, and tympani with equal expertise. She became intrigued with Scottish drumming and played tenor drum with the award-winning North Texas Caledonian Pipe and Drum Corps. Trae's intricate rhythms bring the songs to life and evoke the Scottish heartbeat of the Hamilton clan.

 

Jeff Christian
Guitar, Vocals

Jeff become interested in Celtic roots, following his discovery of an ancestor who led the Manx Rebellion of 1651. Jeff has been playing professionally since he was 17, most notably as front man for The Sultans. Jeff has played with dozens of bands and is focused on writing and performing original material. He also performs in folk venues around the DFW area.
